2011 Disabled Water Ski Championships to be held August 24 - 28

The 10th Disabled Water Ski World Championships will be held in United States of America. Within each event, athletes who are partially (V2, V3) or totally blind (V1), paraplegics or quadriplegics (MP1, MP2, MP3), and arm and/or leg disabilities (with or without prosthesis) compete against athletes with the same disabilities.

The tournament site is located between Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, just off I-75 at exit 24.  The provisional schedule is as follows: Wednesday Evening, August 24, Opening Ceremonies at the site.  Thursday, August 25, Preliminary Rounds.  Friday, August 26, Preliminary Rounds.  Saturday, August 27, Final Rounds.  Sunday, August 28, Final Rounds.  Sunday, August 28, Closing Ceremonies & Banquet.

A select number of trained athletes sacrifice all year to arrive at the World Championships in peak mental and physical condition. USA Water Ski (governing body for water skiing in the USA) provides some funding, however the location of the tournament and size of the team cause travel expenses to be very costly; therefore, each individual is responsible for raising the remainder of the funds to support their attendance.

Help us to once again bring home the “GOLD” against top World competitors on behalf of our United States Team by donating or sponsoring.
