Building On Childrens Abilities


Building on Children's Abilities Campaign / Our Vision for the Future

In 2010 Adaptive Aquatics celebrates our 30th anniversary.  Adaptive Aquatics will be having a Grand Opening of their New Facility during Spring 2010.  Come out and see what YOU have done in helping us ski into the future!

The new facility includes three acres of land on the main channel of Lay Lake, which provides optimal viewing for students and families.

              Development Project at Adaptive Aquatics

 

  • Accessible Starting Docks - a staging area for skiers to be safely fitted with equipment, an accessible boat house for easy transfers, and a dock for jet skiing.  BUILT!!
  • Assisted Dressing Facility - changing, showering, and bathroom area that is fully wheelchair-accessible.
  • Education and Viewing Area - a place where children, their parents and other students can learn and watch other skiers during teaching sessions.
  • Canoe and Kayak Dock - a wheelchair-accessible dock specifically designed for kayak and canoe instuction.  BUILT!!
  • Concrete Pathways - fully wheelchair-accessible pathways and a parking area that can be easily negotiated.
